| ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom Goes Official |
Today, ASUS officially joins the dual-camera race as their latest device packing the said feature debuts at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas, meet the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is the successor of the ZenFone Zoom that was announced way back at CES 2015. And, as the name implies, it retains the key feature of its predecessor, that is the optical zoom. But, this time around, it got more aces on its sleeve, two to be exact - a dual-camera setup with 2.3x magnification and a huge 5000mAh battery. If I'm not mistaken, it is the first ASUS smartphone with huge battery without the "Max" on its name.
Going deeper with the rear cameras, ASUS called the first one as the "main" camera and the other one as "zoom" camera, both of which have 12MP resolutions. The former boasts an f/1.7 aperture, SONY IMX362 sensor, 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization, 3-axis Electronic Image Stabilization, and color-correction sensor. On the other hand, the latter has a focal length of 59mm and 2.3 times optical zoom. Meanwhile, the front snapper comes with a SONY IMX214 sensor, 13MP resolution and f/2.0 aperture.

In terms of the other specs, they are very much similar with the ASUS ZenFone 3 ZE552KL, such as the 5.5-inch 1080p display, an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, and 4GB of RAM to name a few. No mention yet about the pricing, but hopefully local SRP would be at par with international price tag.
