| Starmobile Powers ABS-CBN’s Bantay Bata Modernization Program |
ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc.’s Bantay Bata 163 recently tapped Starmobile to become its official partner in powering up its modernization initiatives.
Through the partnership, the Filipino mobile brand will provide its PLAY series smartphones to Bantay Bata’s team and social workers – a move that will allow stakeholder coordination and digital storytelling. These devices will also come with SIMs that has free monthly data allocation.
“We are embracing technological innovations that can help us become more effective in our core mandate of providing a nationwide network of social services to protect disadvantaged and at-risk children, as well as enable us to defend them from new forms of abuse and exploitation, including those that happen online,” Jing Castaneda-Velasco, Program Director, Bantay Bata 163, said.

Starmobile expressed its support to Bantay Bata 163, and claimed that the collaboration is proof of the brand’s commitment in bringing its latest technologies that can be utilized to empower Filipinos.
“We support Bantay Bata’s mission of creating a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where future generations of Filipinos can develop their full potential and reach for the stars,” Elijah Mendoza, Starmobile Spokesperson, said.
Meanwhile, its partnership with Starmobile marked Bantay Bata 163’s 20th year as one of the leading child rescue, protection, and welfare organizations in the country.
