| PLDT Makes Cavite as Country’s First Fibr-Powered Smart Province |
PLDT has launched its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) facilities in all 23 cities and municipalities of Cavite, making it as the country’s first Fibr-powered smart province.
“As the country’s first-ever Fibr-powered Smart Province, Cavite residents and businesses now have access to PLDT’s robust, reliable internet and leading digital services to strengthen their connections at home and at work,” PLDT FVP and Head of Consumer Business for Market Development Oscar A. Reyes, Jr., said.
According to PLDT, with PLDT Home Fibr, people of Cavite can now enjoy up to 1Gbps of symmetrical internet speeds. This means that subscribers can now download and upload at equal high-speed.

The coverage includes households from Bacoor to General Trias, covering Citihomes (Bacoor), Sea Breeze Subdivision (Cavite City), Legian Subdivision (Imus), Avida Residences (Dasmariñas), Boston Heights (Kawit), Poblacion/Town Proper (Alfonso, Amadeo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, and Ternate), Ponderosa Leisure Farms (Silang), Alta Monte Subdivision (Tagaytay), Lancaster Estate (General Trias), and more.
“PLDT’s efforts to create more Fibr-Powered Smart Cities and Smart Provinces all over the country are part of our commitment to enrich the lives of more Filipinos, as well as to create world-class, meaningful digital experiences for the entire family’s entertainment, convenience, and security,” Reyes added.
Meanwhile, the province-wide FTTH deployment in Cavite is the latest update in the company’s aggressive fiber expansion program that aims to connect Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
