Vivo V7+ Unveils in PH; 18:9 FullView Display, Snapdragon 450, 24MP Selfie Camera for Php17,990

Just a few weeks after it was launched in India, the Vivo V7+ finally unveils in the Philippines showcasing tons of features along with lots of new Vivo celebrity endorsers.

The Vivo V7+ is the first Vivo handset to sport a FullView display, wherein the phone's bezels are reduced to cater for a wider screen that has 18:9 aspect ratio. Its IPS panel measures 5.99 inches diagonally with 1440x720 resolutions, which give the V7+ a pixel density of 269 PPI and 12.5% more display when compared to regular screen.

Inside its 7.7mm slim body is the latest Qualcomm mobile chipset, which is the Snapdragon 450 that has 8 Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked up to 1.8GHz each for fast processing of instruction sets paired with Adreno 506 to handle all graphics related functions. Moreover, the 4GB volatile memory is more than enough to give users smooth multitasking, while the 64GB native storage can be expanded up to 256GB via its dedicated micro SD card slot.

Another highlight of the Vivo V7+ is its main camera, which promises to give users clearer selfie with its 24MP snapper that has a bright f/2.0 aperture, and Vivo's 7th generation Face Beauty technology. Speaking of which, it can provide beautification for both still images, and while doing video calls. There is also a Portrait Mode the blurs the background to give more weight to the subject. But then again, as mentioned in my previous article, the SD 450 chip only supports up to 21MP resolution, so most probably, there is a software trick to up the ante to 24MP. Moving on, the rear shooter has 16-megapixel resolution with a phase detection auto focus and accompanied by an LED flash.

Recently, Apple has announced the iPhone X's Face ID, Vivo has their own face recognition algorithm to unlock the V7+, but unlike the iPhone, it retains the fingerprint sensor for more security options. Other remarkable features of this handset are HiFi Audio with the help of dedicated mobile audio chip AK4376A, and Smart Split 3.0 that allows users to perform two different tasks at the same time.

Interested customers can reserve their unit at any Vivo stores nationwide or via Lazada until September 29 to get a free Bluetooth headset. It will be widely available across the Philippine archipelago on September 30 for Php17,990, almost the same SRP in India.
