Contrary to early rumors that Xiaomi is set to unveil a bigger version of the Redmi 5, the brand is actually preparing to launch its upcoming Redmi Note 5 – which will come in two variants.

According to a 3C listing, the Redmi Note 5 comes in two models. One will be offered with Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage, while the bigger version has Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.

Meanwhile, both versions will come with a dual-camera setup. It will boast 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel rear cameras, and 8-megapixel front shooter. The device is said to feature facial recognition technology, as well.

The device is equipped with 4,100mAh battery, too, and will come with MIUI 9 out of the box.
The Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 636 variants are expected to be tagged at CNY 1,499, and CNY 1,799, respectively.

The Redmi Note 5 variants are said to be unveiled at MWC 2018.
