| OPPO R17 Pro with In-Display Fingerprint Scanner and Triple Rear Cameras Now Official! |
After teasing us with waves of rumors, the OPPO R17 Pro is now official, confirming that it is a premium-looking smartphone with powerful specs. Dressed with a gradient-colored glass back, the device flashes a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch similar to the OPPO F9. It gives off a 2340 x 1080 resolution as it delivers a 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, as well.
Under the hood, it carries a 64-bit Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor with 10nm FinFET process, paired with Adreno 616 graphics. Moreover, the R17 Pro comes with a generous 8GB/128GB RAM and ROM configuration. However, OPPO won’t allow users to expand its internal storage.

As a camera-centric device, the R17 Pro became the first OPPO handset to bag a triple-rear camera setup composed of 12MP 7P sensor, 20-megapixel lens, and 3D TOF depth camera. For selfies, it is mounted with a 25-megapixel front snapper that features AI Beauty Recognition.
To accompany users on their daily tasks, OPPO equipped it with 3700mAh battery that supports SuperVOOC flash charge. The latter promised to give 40 minutes of stamina in just 10 minutes.
For security options, the device has 3D face unlock function and In-Display fingerprint scanner.
The phone loads ColorOS 5.2 skin based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The OPPO R17 Pro is priced at CNY 4,299 or roughly Php33K. It will be available in China starting October. Meanwhile, there are no words yet if it will arrive in the Philippines. So far, there's no R-device available in the local market yet.
