In partnership with TESDA and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Accenture has launched the Skills to Succeed Academy to give a free online learning program for Filipino job-seekers.

The launch of Skills to Succeed Academy in the country kicked off through the partnership between Accenture, TESDA, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Philippine Business for Education (PBEd), Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development, Inc. (FIT-ED), and Bayan Academy for Social Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Development (Bayan Academy).

Designed for applicants aged 16 to 24, the program has the technology to reach more people, and make the training more interactive and fun for participants. It has three courses, as well, and 36 interactive learning modules to cover basic steps in making informed career decisions. The latter will also teach the participants about securing and maintaining a job.

The three courses are:

  • You and Your Career – The six modules in this course help participants choose a career based on their interests, skills, motivation, and style. 
  • Getting a Job – The 20 Getting Job modules help participants develop the main skills required to secure a job, such as how to create and tailor their resumes, make a good first impression, and prepare for and succeeding in interviews. 
  • Success in Work – The 10 modules in this course help the job-seeker sustains a job and develop a career, covering aspects such as keeping motivated at work, setting goals, how to behave in work and how to manage your career.

Meanwhile, participants will have two options: take the modules via self-study, or study it within facilitator-led groups.
