Huawei Throws Shade at Apple, Samsung for Slowing Down Phones

Aside from producing great smartphones, Huawei has also mastered the art of teasing its competitors. With this, the number two mobile manufacturer didn’t hesitate to throw a jab at Apple and Samsung after the two companies were fined by the Italian Competition and Market Authority (AGCM) for slowing down their phones.

In a tweet, Huawei posted a photo of its new Huawei Mate 20 Pro claiming that the device was born fast and will stay fast. The brand also boasted that they would never slow down their phones to force consumers to upgrade. The tweet was also accompanied by the hashtag #NeverSlowDown.

In case you missed it, both Apple and Samsung were found guilty and slapped with a EUR 5-million fine each for intentionally slowing down their devices. AGCM also explained that “the release of some firmware updates of mobile phones that have caused serious malfunctions and significantly reduced performance, thereby accelerating the process of replacing them.”

Meanwhile, AGCM has also tapped Apple with another EUR 5-million for its battery issue.
