To make this experience more exciting, the company brought us to Camp Netanya, which is also known as the Little Santorini in Batangas.

Through this trip, we were able to play around with the Galaxy A7 (2018) that sports three cameras on its back, composed of a 24-megapixel f/1.7 sensor + 8-megapixel f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide lens + 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor. For selfies, on the other hand, it is mounted with a single 24-megapixel front snapper.

As smartphone manufacturers continue to bank on its camera offerings, it’s impressive that Samsung armed its mid-range handset with this feature first rather than their premium devices. The Galaxy A7 (2018) is the brand’s first device to boast a triple-lens setup, resulting in an enhanced wide shot and live focus mode.

During our hands-on experience, we noticed that unlike other camera-centric devices, this year’s A7 variant delivers more natural-looking photos as its camera features won’t aggressively enhance your images.

Its Live Focus mode works fine, as well. It even allows us to adjust its bokeh effect, making sure that it won’t overwork our photos. Meanwhile, despite its ultra-wide shot being our favorite feature, we noticed that it changes its focus compared to its main sensor, not to mention there is a fish-eye effect. Some parts of the photos became blurry, too. Nevertheless, its ultra-wide mode will surely elevate your mobile photography as it can capture more.

Both of its front camera and main shooters performed well in low light settings, having no visible noise most of the time.
