Designed for home use, the DS119j only consumes 5.01 watts in hard drive hibernation mode, and 10.04 watts under full operation. Moreover, its noise reducing design makes it more silent than PC counterparts. For comparison, on the other hand, a laptop can consume 45 watts upwards.
