Grab Announces Premium Tricyle Service in the Philippines |
To elevate short-distance commute on the crowded streets of the Philippines, Grab has partnered with Autoltalia – the exclusive distributor of Piaggi Apé vehicles in the country. Hence, through this collaboration, GrabTrike Premium service will use Piaggio Apé City Fi units. It has a maximum load capacity of 300 kilograms, and has better capacity in terms of passengers compared with traditional tricyles.
Can be juiced with a frugal gas or diesel engine, the vehicle can run up to 38 kilometers on a single liter of gas. Moreover, Grab also ensures a safer commute as it will use Euro-IV compliant Apé units that boasts better mileage, transmission with reverse, and maximum climb of 20.5% gradient performance. GrabTrike also promises a more comfortable and safer commute to its drivers and passengers with Apé's bigger and sturdier build.

Driver-partners will get a smartphone that comes with pre-installed Grab app, and free Grab merchandise.
Meanwhile, Grab will reach LGUs to determine where the GrabTrike Premium service can operate in the country.
