The Huawei Y9 (2019) and Honor 8X nearly look identical, and their similarities didn’t stop on their design, as the two smartphones have common denominators even on their features and specs.

Let’s begin with our display section. Putting them face to face, you’d hardly recognize which is which as they were both dominated by the same 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with 2340 x 1080 resolution. In addition, they sport the same notched design, resulting into a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. To differentiate them, remember that the Y9 has dual selfie snappers housed inside its notch.

Under the hood, the Y9 and 8X are armed with a Kirin 710 chipset, paired with Mali-G51 MP4 graphics. Although they both have 4GB of RAM, Honor packed its device with a larger 128GB memory. The tricky part here, on the other hand, is that Huawei allows the Y9 to expand its storage up to 400GB, while the Honor 8X is limited only up to 256GB.

Jumping off to their stamina, the Huawei Y9 (2019) is juiced with a larger 4000mAh battery capacity. But even if the Honor 8X has a slightly smaller 3750mAh battery, the device still supports fast charging.

The Huawei Y9 (2019) and Honor 8X are both priced at just Php12,990.
