The Female Health Tracking feature which was first unveiled during the launch of the Fitbit Versa will also be improved in early 2019 to help female users have a comprehensive look on their menstrual cycle data.

According to Jon Oakes, Fitbit Senior Vice President of Product, the update is in line with Fitbit’s mission to help users meet their fitness goals.

“We are excited to announce these software and app updates as they provide Fitbit smartwatch users with more ways to take action based on their personal data to achieve their health and fitness goals,” said Oakes.
“We are partnering with some of the most popular health and fitness brands to develop apps that leverage Fitbit data to offer unique experiences and deliver more valuable and personal insights to help our users to live healthier lifestyles,” added Tim Rosa, Chief Marketing Officer at Fitbit.
“For example, apps like achu health pairs your Fitbit data with illness prediction technology to help you manage signs of sickness, and MySwimPro helps you improve swimming performance with personalized coaching plans based on your heart rate data during swimming workouts.”

The new Fitbit OS 3.0 can be downloaded via an update through the Fitbit app in your Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Ionic Adidas Edition, and Fitbit Versa.
