“Technology has a pivotal role in the creation of a better society. As today’s youth is a digital savvy generation, we created this challenge to early on instill the value of using available resources to create solutions to real world problems,” said Joey Alvarez, Power Mac Center Director of Product Management and Marketing.

From the pool of participants, six shortlisted teams will have the chance to join a pre-competition workshop on January 12, 2019 to be lead by top industry practitioners and Apple Certified Trainers. After this, each group will be given a one-week break to come up with proposed app storyboards before the competition proper on January 19 and 20, 2019 at the PMC Business Systems, Inc. (PBSI) Main Office at 2/L Cedar Executive Bldg., Arnaiz Avenue, Makati City.

Members of the winning team will each receive and iPad and an exclusive training from Apple Certified Trainers to develop their app and upload it to the App Store. Runners-up, on the other hand, will take home Php120,000 worth of Power Mac Center Gift Certificates as consolation prizes.
