The upcoming Exynos Auto V9 processor is set to power Audi’s next-gen in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system, which is expected to launch in 2021.
Based on 8nm process technology, the V9 sports ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores paired with Mali G76 GPU. It boasts premium HiFi 4 audio digital signal processor (DSP), intelligent NPU, and a safety island core that supports Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL)-B standards. It supports LPDDR4, and LPDDR5 DRAM, as well.

With this, it can support up to 6 displays, 12 camera connections for various sub-system content in IVI systems, and multiple systems such as the cluster display, central information display (CID), and rear-seat entertainment (RSE).
It can deliver functional safety, as well, that allows real-time protection for system operations that facilitate ASIL-B requirements. It can intelligently manage a safe and personalized driving environment, too, through its NPU.
