Huawei surprisingly announced a price drop for the Mate 20 in the Philippines, making it one of the most affordable flagship smartphones in the market.

Recently launched in November 2018, the Mate 20 arrived in the country for Php40,990. Now, the mobile maker has announced that the device will be offered for only Php35,990 starting February 9, 2019. So, if you’re thinking of buying the handset today, better wait for that date to save Php5,000.

As a quick recap, the Mate 20 sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ panel with 2244 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it packs Kirin 980 7nm octa-core processor, Mali-G76 MP10 graphics with GPU Turbo 2.0, 6GB RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage via NM card. Powering up the handset, on the other hand, is a 4000mAh battery that supports 22.5W SuperCharge. It is also mounted with triple-rear camera setup co-engineered with Leica.
