The Huawei Mate X offers bigger displays, both on tablet and phone modes, than the Galaxy Fold. In fact, it offers a total of three display types. When unfolded, it has a large, and almost a square 8-inch display with 8:7.1 aspect ratio and 2480 x 2200 pixels. When folded, there are back-to-back displays, the front or main one measures 6.6-inch diagonally, has a resolution of 2480 x 1148 pixels, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, the secondary or back display comes with a 6.38-inch screen, 2480 x 892 resolution, and aspect ratio of 25:9.

The secondary display when folded can be used to shoot selfies using the Leica-branded triple camera setup, or share the same content as the primary display. Speaking of camera, it comes with 40MP wide angle lens plus 16MP ultra wide angle lens plus an 8MP telephoto lens, which is almost identical to that of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

When unfolded, the Mate X is impressively thin at only 5.4mm, the same is true when folded at only 11mm. On the inside, it is powered by Huawei's very own HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa core processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. There's also the Balong 5000, which is the company 5G chipset that supports bands N41, N77, N78 and N79, and can be utilized using the primary nano SIM slot, the secondary SIM connectivity is up to 4G only. Of course, your network provider must also support 5G network.

It has two batteries combined to have 4,500mAh capacity, and supports ultra fast 55W Huawei SuperCharge technology that can charge up the phone to 85% in just 30 minutes. Another notable feature is the power button with integrated fingerprint sensor.

The Huawei Mate X asking price is only 2,299 euros or about Php136K when converted into Philippine currency.
