| LG Backs ASEAN Football Federation U22 Championship |
With the objective to let more people appreciate and be more aware about the sport, AFF U22 LG Cup Championship is the first event from the said football league after its 14-year hiatus.

“On behalf of LG Electronics, I am honored to address you as the title sponsor of this exciting football championship,” said LG Philippines Managing Director Mr. Inkwun Heo. “We’re committed in supporting and encouraging more young talent in the region to follow their passion and play the sport.”
Among the participants for the AFF U22 LG Cup Championship 2019 are young football players under the age of 22 from different countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Cambodia.

According to Mr. Heo, LG’s sponsorship comes with the hope that the said football championship game will serve as a motivation for more football aspirants to join future leagues.
