OnePlus Showcases 5G Prototype Smartphone at MWC 2019 |
The brand’s first 5G Prototype Smartphone is, of course, powered by the Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. It is also packed with the X50 5G modem, and RF Front-End solutions.
In addition, the device sports a 21:9 screen, and might be the brand’s first handset to go beyond 1080p resolution. It has no notch, as well.

“5G is a game changer. It can change everything from gaming to communication, to health and beyond. More than that, it can perform several, or all, of these at the same time. One great example of how 5G will change the world is gaming. 5G’s dramatic improvement in speed, latency, and network capacity can truly fulfil the promise of cloud gaming. Combined with powerful OnePlus devices, people can play advanced games anywhere they are, provided they are on a 5G connection,” Pete Lau, OnePlus founder and CEO, shared.

Meanwhile, the company revealed that the device will have a 4G LTE version with minor differences, too.
OnePlus didn't say any official details yet about the phone, but they already addressed that it won’t be available in the US.
