To make the campaign more exciting, TikTok introduced its in-app quiz where Filipino users can learn safety tips about the Internet. In addition, those who will perfect the quiz will also receive special prizes from TikTok.

Users can take part in the global #BetterMeBetterInternet challenge, as well, by using customized stickers designed to encourage positive online habits. TikTok endorsed the use of hashtags such as #likes, #respect, #positivity, #creativity, and #security. To complement the theme, creators were asked to shove away negative hashtags like #cyberbullying, #hatespeech, #negativity, #trolls, #anxiety, and #haters.

The #BetterMeBetterInternet campaign is also timely for the Safer Internet Day for Children Philippines, which we celebrate every second Tuesday of February. This was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte under Proclamation No. 417 on February 5, 2018.

Meanwhile, TikTok believed that through this initiative, the company will play an important role in raising awareness, and addressing the critical and latest challenges in online safety today.
