DICT Announces Kalasag Mobile Legends Tournament for Gov't Employees
If you’re a government employee and has gaming skills to battle out opponents, then, this might be a good news for you! The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has introduced “Kalasag” – the first-ever Philippine National Government Tournament, which will feature the famed mobile gaming app, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

According to DICT, Kalasag is its latest addition to the annual celebration of the National ICT Month in the country. With a theme of “See ICT Differently,” the tournament eyes to call on all government employees to answer the challenge of friendly competition in a digital arena.
All government employees can join – whether regular, contractual, job order, or any with similar status. They simply have to present a certification that they are part of a national government agency, local government unit, or government-owned and controlled body.
The tournament will feature 32 teams which will be divided into 8 groups of 4 gamers. The event is slated at the Quezon City Experience, Events Hall – Quezon Memorial Circle beginning June 9 to 11, 2019. Registration is until June 5, 2019.

- June 9, 2019 – Group Stage Eliminations
- June 10, 2019 – Playoffs
- June 11, 2019 – Semi-finals and Grand Finals

- Champion – Php15,000
- 2nd Place – Php5,000
- 3rd and 4th Place – Php2,500
