On his official Twitter account, MVP revealed that he got his new Huawei phone that supports 5G connectivity. This allowed him to try Smart's 5G network in central parts of Makati City. Unfortunately, the big boss didn’t reveal much info about his 5G experience, though he teased that it has an exciting super speed.

In case you missed it, PLDT announced that Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ) would be the first Smart 5G City in the Philippines. The telco giant also said that it successfully activated the country’s initial 5G sites in Makati City and Clark, Pampanga.

To make this possible, the company teamed up with Huawei to launch their first 5G cell site at the PLDT headquarters in Makati City, while it partnered with Ericsson to activate its cell site at the Clark Smart 5G City in CFZ.

So, if MVP finally got the first taste of Smart 5G, then, consumers might as well enjoy this service soon.

As a quick background, 5G won’t only boost mobile data connections, as it will also enhance more IoT applications. 5G's key features include ultra-high speeds, enhanced mobile broadband services, massive machine type communications, and reliable and low-latency communications.

Meanwhile, the said tweet gathered mixed reactions from netizens, as many of them pointed out that MVP used an iPhone device to share his tweet.
