Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup Finals Happening this October |
To hype up the tournament, Taiwan Excellence has teamed up with well-known Taiwanese giants headed by ASUS – the official gaming PC provider of 2019 Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup. Other partners include MSI, Aorus, Avermedia, In-Win, Kingmax, Transcend, XPG, Team Group, Zadak, G.Skill, and Zyxel.
“Taiwan is known for its breakthrough electronics industry, with renowned innovations and quality products being developed for global distribution. Now with eSports, we take pride in sharing that industry-leading brands are from Taiwan, with Filipino gamers,” C.T. Wu, director of the Strategic Marketing Dept. at TAITRA.
At least 2,000 participants across the country listed to battle out each other for the Php430,000 tournament prize pool. The competing game titles include Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), and League of Legends (LOL). Only 32 teams remained for the semi-finals, 16 for CS GO, and 16 for LOL, they came from NCR, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with 4 teams each for CS GO and LOL.

Tournament registration begins on June 15, 2019. The elimination rounds for CSGO are slated on July 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2019. For LOL, the elimination rounds are scheduled on August 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2019. Meanwhile, inter-branch games will be held on September 14, 2019, for CSGO, and September 24, 2019, for LOL.
The grand finals will happen on October 4 to 6, 2019 at SM North EDSA The Block in Quezon City.
