Comes with compact and sophisticated design, the X412 device has a 6.8% smaller footprint than its predecessor, as it only measures 322.4 x 212.7 x 19.5mm and is light at just 1.5kg. Hence, users will never have a hard time carrying the laptop or fitting it inside their bags.
The X412 is dressed with a polycarbonate body that flashes a stylish design. In fact, it is available in four attractive colors, but what catches our attention the most is its Peacock Blue color variant.
At first glance, it appears plain and conventional but when the light strikes its surface, its back cover reveals its eye-catching gradient-like effect composed of color purple and green. With this style, ASUS was able to pull off a standout laptop that can be a head turner when you use it outdoors.

The X412 is equipped with a four-sided frameless NanoEdge display, which enables the device to sport a smaller body than other 14-inch laptops. Its IPS screen has FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution with 178-degree wide-view technology. It is also mounted with just 5.7mm ultrathin bezels, resulting to an impressive 87% screen-to-body ratio.
For a better viewing experience, the laptop boasts the brand’s Tru2Life Video technology that optimizes sharpness and contrast of every pixel in every frame to produce vivid and realistic visuals. As a result, the X412 is a great companion when watching films or even when editing photos or videos.

We didn't get a chance to play around with the device but we're sure that it can offer a competitive performance for its price, as it can be powered by up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics. The series also comes with a dual-storage design for a fast data performance and large storage capacity. With this, consumers can expect that the laptop has ultrafast response and app loading times.
