Huawei has teased its upcoming chipset, which might be their newest flagship Kirin 990 processor, at IFA 2019 in Berlin. Moreover, reports suggest that the said chip will take its spotlight on September 6, 2019.

The Chinese mobile maker’s teaser video didn’t reveal much info about the chipset, but it confirmed that it will support 5G connectivity. Reports also claimed that the Kirin 990 will be equipped with 7nm processor and an enhanced NPU based on Huawei’s Da Vinci architecture.

With this, it is said to offer 20% greater transistor density and increased power efficiency.

The Kirin 990 will also power up the upcoming Mate 30 series, which will be launched on September 19, 2019.
