Three Chinese mobile makers have teamed up to launch an AirDrop-like file transfer service, as Xiaomi announced the Inter-Transfer Alliance group, which is joined by OPPO and Vivo.

To allow users enjoy a faster file transfer, the Inter-transfer Alliance group is now in open beta. This eyes to enable smartphone from different brands to send and receive photos and documents with a blazing transfer speed.

According to Xiaomi, the service will not eat too much battery nor would it need a third-party app or 4G data connectivity to work. The company also explained that its speeds would reach up to 20 MB/s, hence, a 720p long video could be transferred in less than two minutes. Amazing, isn’t it!?

Meanwhile, Xiaomi revealed that they are still open for new members to join their file transfer service. This suggests that Realme and Redmi might be part of the team soon, considering that OPPO and Xiaomi were already working together for this.
