Singapore-based insurtech company Axinan has teamed up with Mercantile Insurance Co. (Mercantile) to finally offer competitive mobile insurance solutions in the Philippines.

During its launch, Axinan revealed that their target market is the Filipino millennials. Underwritten by Mercantile, the insurance solutions will be in the area of smartphone protection through Axinan’s consumer brand igloo.

The igloo app will initially offer the Mobile 360 service, which will enable users to get comprehensive mobile phone protection for its screen, camera, and battery. On top of everything, consumers can even get accidental and liquid damage protection, which is usually not under smartphone warranty.

Axinan also explained that Mobile 360 offers simple application process, which is fully accessible online. It boasts instant approvals, as well, unlike other insurance firms that will require time and efforts to consumers.

In addition, its product offerings will be made available to both new and used smartphones from any telco, whether its prepaid or postpaid.
