Instead of having a foldable phone, Xiaomi opted to equip the Mi MIX Alpha with an impressive 360-degree surround display, which flashes a 180.6% screen-to-body ratio. Its side doubles as a status bar, too, as it showcases the device’s battery condition, connectivity status, and other pressure-sensitive buttons. Users can also show their notifications on the side of the display.
Meanwhile, its back portion can accommodate multiple apps and widgets such as weather, step counts, and more.
Under the hood, Xiaomi loaded it with a powerful Snapdragon 855+ octa-core processor, Adreno 640 graphics, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage. The phone is also juiced with a 4,050mAh battery with 40W fast charging.

Moving on to its photography department, the Mi MIX Alpha features a whopping 108-megapixel main camera that has 12032 x 9024 resolution. It is paired with 20-megapixel f/2.2 117-degree wide angle lens, and 12-megapixel f/2.0 portrait sensor. Since it features a 360-degree screen, Xiaomi didn’t mount a selfie snapper on the device, as its primary shooters also double as front facing cam.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is priced at CNY 19,999 (~Php146.9K). Limited units will be available starting December.
