GCash Launches Customer Protect Program |
With increasing incidents of identity theft and stolen mobile phones, GCash made sure that its users will have peace of mind when using the app. Through its newly launched service, the company revealed that users can now get a compensation for unauthorized financial transactions on their GCash app, GCash on Messenger, and GCash Mastercard platforms.
To get this service, a user should file a report regarding any irregular transaction on GCash’s official customer care channels within 15 days from the date of the said incident. The company also explained that eligible and valid disputes can be reversed for amount of to Php100,000.
In addition, GCash advised users to establish legitimate identity through submission of valid government IDs, self-photo, series of mobile phone, and contact information verification.

With this, verified GCash users can receive compensation of the actual amount of unauthorized transactions not exceeding Php100,000. Semi-verified users, on the other hand, can get compensation of up to Php10,000, while basic users can receive up to Php2,000.
