As the name suggests, the realme 5i works as the toned-down variant of its brother realme 5. With this, the young mobile brand competitively packed the device with just slightly tweaked offerings.
Similar to its brother, realme also dressed the realme 5i with a premium-looking design, which is available in Blue and Green colorways. However, it now comes with a new Van Sunlight 3D glass-like back.
On paper, nothing much has changed between the realme 5 and realme 5i. The latter still has a 6.5-inch dewdrop screen with HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution, making it a good device for watching videos and playing games.

Under the hood, the phone is also powered by the same Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, paired with Adreno 610 GPU. Meanwhile, it can be loaded with up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB storage for smoother smartphone experience. To accommodate user's daily mobile tasks, the realme 5i is armed with a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging.

Moving on to its photography department, it still boasts a quad-rear camera setup, consisting of a 12-megapixel f/1.8 main shooter, 8-megapixel f/2.25 119-degree ultra-wide lens, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro lens, and 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor. realme also equipped it with video-centric features, such as anti-shake technology, support for slow-mo videos up to 120fps, and 4K support up to 30fps.
However, the device settled for only 8-megapixel selfie snapper instead of a 13-megapixel front camera.
Just like the realme 5, it also runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS with ColorOS 6.0 skin on top.
