The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is the base variant of the series, which means it has slightly lower specs than its 9s brother. For starters, the screen size is only 6.53-inch compared to the 6.7-inch of the 9s and 9 Pro. Thankfully, it still has FHD+ DotDisplay, which is 2340 x 1080 pixels and topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.
Under the hood, it uses the latest gaming chipset from MediaTek, the Helio G85. It has a 2GHz octa-core CPU and Mali-G52MC2 graphics. It comes in two configurations, one with 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM, and the other one has 4GB of RAM + 128GB internal storage.

Camera-wise, the rear setup also has four modules, similar to that of the 9s, except that the macro sensor is now only 2MP. In addition, video recording capability is up to 1080p at 30fps only. There is no 4K, and there are no 960fps or even 240fps 720 slow-motion recordings. As for the selfie snapper, it has a 13MP module. Sadly, as far as the Xiaomi website is concerned, it does not come with the 120fps Slo-Selfie feature.
The other features are relatively the same with the Note 9s - NFC, Infrared Port, USB Type-C, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 5,020mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
