| Huawei Boosts AI Ecosystem in the Asia Pacific Through Ascend Partner Program |
The Ascend Partner Program was introduced through an online summit carrying the theme “Ascend to Pervasive Intelligence,” in which Huawei brought together thought leaders including business professionals, government officials, industry experts, and academic scholars which each shared essential insights about AI.
Under the APAC Ascend Partner Program, Huawei seeks to support Asia Pacific countries embracing AI development, knowledge transfer, as well as go-to-market and strategic resources through three sub-programs.

These include Independent Software Vendor AI Collaboration, Institute of Higher Learning (HIL) AI Talent Cultivation, and Government AI Industry Development.
Huang Zhiyong, the Deputy Director at the National University of Singapore’s Business Analytics Center supports the said Huawei program, saying that this will be a helpful tool for the society.
“In the new AI era, strategic partnership between National University of Singapore and Huawei in research and talent development will make a great impact to society,” the official said.
With the APAC Ascend Partner Program, Huawei is also looking to help governments by sharing the company’s expertise and experience in industrial practices and policy maters like AI Industrial Standards.
Huawei’s new program also comes in an ideal era where countries in the APAC region are increasingly creating projects connected to artificial intelligence.
Huawei Cloud and AI Business Group for Asia Pacific Region President Daniel Zhou shares that with the Huawei Ascend Partner Program, the tech giant is taking a closer step towards its vision of building a fully connected ecosystem.
“When it comes to AI ecosystem-based collaboration, Huawei has always focused on infrastructure. We work with the academic community and industries to promote AI development, which advances both technology and industries as a whole,” Zhou said.
“Ultimately, we hope to bridge the divide, and achieve shared success as soon as possible. By leveraging our collaborative Connectivity + Computing + Cloud synergy, we are able to provide an intelligent, automated, information-driven platform for partners’ content, applications, and algorithms,” he added.
