The OPPO A52 has strong similarities with last year's OPPO A5 2020, both devices have a 6.5-inch display, but the A52 comes with better screen technology, which is punch-hole type, and higher resolution at FHD+. Under the hood, both phones are powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chip and have 128GB of internal storage. In terms of RAM, the one inside the A52 is higher at 6GB as compared to 4GB of the A5.
Camera-wise, both smartphones have four modules mounted on their backs - 12MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth. In the front, the A52 has twice as much resolution for its selfie camera, a 16MP f/2.0 module versus just 8MP of the A5.

Aside from A5 2020, the OPPO A52 has also lots of shared traits with the more expensive OPPO A92. In fact, both the A52 and A92 have identical physical measurements, screen size and resolution, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5,000mAh battery, Hi-Res audio, and 16MP front camera.
As far as specs are concerned, the only differences of the A92 to A52 are the size of RAM, 8GB versus 6GB, and its 48MP f/1.7 versus 12MP. That said, if you are not really keen on the 48MP camera, which by the ways shoots at 12MP by default, and 6GB RAM is enough for you, then we highly recommend choosing A52 over A92 to save 4,000 pesos.
