The OPPO Reno3 that will be released in the local market will be a different variant from its home country. One of the major differences between the two devices is the lack of 5G. In China, the Reno3 is armed with a 5G MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L chipset, here it will be powered by 4G MediaTek Helio P90. Both have an octa-core processor clocked up to 2.2GHz each, albeit the Dimensity comes with newer Cortex-A77 CPU, Mali-G77MP9 GPU, and based on 7nm FinFET process, while the P90 has Cortex-A75 CPU, PowerVR GM9446 GPU, and based on 12nm semiconductor process. It will still have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The other specs remain similar, such as the 3D curved glass back design, which is available in striking color variants such as Black, White, and Blue. The front is dominated by a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a waterdrop notch to house its selfie camera.

Moving on to its photography department, the Reno3 is equipped with the quad-rear camera setup, consisting of a 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 13-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto lens, 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, and 2-megapixel f/2.4 mono sensor. For selfies, it is mounted with a whopping 44-megapixel f/2.4 wide snapper.

Battery wise, it comes with a 4025mAh power source with OPPO's VOOC 4.0 flash charge that can Reno3 up to 50% in just 20 minutes.

Lastly, the device runs on ColorOS 7.0 based on Android 10 OS, which was also introduced last December 2019.

How much is the Reno 3?

  • The OPPO Reno2 price in the Philippines when it was launched last 2019 is Php28,990, but it was recently reduced to Php25,990. Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno2 F was priced Php19,990 when it was launched in the local market, and currently being sold for Php17,990. The specs of Reno3 are closely similar to Reno2 F than the Reno2, therefore we can expect its price to be around Php20k, more or less. In addition, the Reno3 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,990 in India, which, when directly converted to our currency, is also about 20k pesos.

When will be the Reno3 be available?

  • We received an invite about the unveiling of the Reno3 series through a live stream event on March 19, which means it will be released after that. However, due to the current situation of the COVID-19 in our country, we can expect the Reno3 availability will be delayed.
