The Huawei Nova 7 5G sits on top of the 7 SE, which simply means it is more premium, thus slightly more expensive. It has a 6.53-inch full-screen display with FHD+ resolution, that's 2400 x 1080 pixels. On the inside, it is powered by the latest HiSilicon Kirin 985 5G chipset, which has 2.58GHz octa-core CPU and octa-core ARM Mali-G77 graphics. It has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, which is the variant that will be released locally. However, it has no card slot for storage expansion.

Camera-wise, it also has quad AI rear cameras just like the 7 SE, but it has slightly better configurations. Both devices have 64MP f/1.8 PDAF primary shooter, an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide lens, and a 2MP f/2.4 dedicated macro module. The main difference is that the Nova 7 5G dropped the 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor of the 7 SE and opted for a more useful 8MP f/2.4 PDAF telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. In the front, it has 32MP f/2.2 selfie snapper, which has twice as many pixels as the 16MP of its sibling.
The other notable specs are the under-display fingerprint sensor, and 4000mAh battery with 40W fast charging support and 5W reverse charging capability.
