Withdraw Cash from BDO ATMs using QR code; No Need for Card! |
Tovi Mendoza, BDO Senior Vice President and Head of ATM Network & Applied Payment Solutions, said, 'Withdrawing using QR Codes is now possible in the Philippines.' "Now, our customers will enjoy transactions that are faster and more convenient and, most importantly, reduce the risk of catching COVID-19 because they will touch the ATM surface much less."

For their health and safety, the new service, he said, would help those who are encouraged to stay home. "However, despite our safety controls, we remind our customers to cautiously entrust their Withdrawal QR Codes to others," Mendoza said.
How to Withdraw from BDO ATMs using QR Code
Login to your BDO Digital Banking App to create a QR code. From the options, click on 'More.' Choose 'Withdraw' then 'Via QR.' Choose the account, enter the number, and save the QR Code.
Each QR Code is unique to each transaction for withdrawal. To secure your account, it is valid for only 24 hours per generation. BDO clarifies that the QR Code of Withdrawal is different from the QR Code of Account used to send money.
To withdraw, tap 'QR Code Transaction' on the ATM screen and allow the computer to check your QR code. Choose whether you want a receipt or not, then wait for your money to be dispensed by the machine.
There are over 100 QR-enabled ATMs currently in Makati City. The bank is looking at building more of these updated machines countrywide this year. To locate a branch near you, read more about the feature at https://www.bdo.com.ph/withdraw-via-qr-code.
