In the coming months, gamers and fans are joining the world of Esports and mobile gaming for an exciting range of activities, including Mobile Legends' Bang Bang, League of Legends: Wild Rift, other mobile game tournaments under the Youth Esports Initiative, and several more for the rest of the gaming group worldwide.
This undertaking is made possible by OPPO's collaboration with the Mineski Esports Authority. Through this alliance, the leadership of OPPO on smartphone technologies, and the experience of Mineski on Esports and gaming, the partnership will further assist the Philippines' booming esports industry.
"OPPO is excited to form a strong partnership through Mineski with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and League of Legends: Wild Rift. We are completely committed to helping the Philippines become a big eSports hub by fostering world-class Filipino eSports talents through OPPO's cutting-edge technology as well as Mineski's expertise in Esports and gaming," shared Xia."

Riot Games SEA and OPPO team up with Mineski PH and Globe to offer thrilling waves of Esports tournaments in 2021
Under its exclusive alliance with Riot Games Southeast Asia, the country's premier esports group, Mineski Philippines, formally unveiled a roster of tournaments and activities.
Mineski aims to develop and maintain the momentum of the rising esports and gaming industry in the Philippines through Riot's biggest titles by reuniting with its long-time partner, Globe, and enlisting OPPO as its official mobile phone partner for gaming.
We are pleased to bring even more thrilling sporting experiences alongside our partner, Mineski, to players across the Philippines. The network and expertise of Mineski have helped us to bring our esports vision to life, and we look forward to producing a memorable series of tournaments for VALORANT and League of Legends fans: Wild Rift,' said Chris Tran, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau Head of Esports for Riot Games.
Through the Philippine Pro Gaming League (PPGL), Mineski will run the official national tournaments. These tournaments will qualify the best teams for the Southeast Asian tournaments and, hopefully, the world championship to represent the country.
Mineski holds the official license for VALORANT and League of Legends: Wild Rift to hold esports tournaments. Tournaments will be held throughout the year for both games, featuring a format that will allow the country's best teams to compete in Southeast Asia, and probably the world, against top gamers.
Moreover, this will be the first time a points system will be introduced for a mobile game. This invention called the "Wild Rift Points System by Globe" will monitor the national tournament's top-performing teams' total cash prize. The total prize pool is Php10,000,000, and the points will also decide how to advance a team into the Philippine Playoffs further.
On March 20-21, 2021, spectators and gamers alike can look forward to the pre-season Wild Rift Icon series. The first pre-season Riot Games' mobile MOBA tournament in the Philippines promises a thrilling series of matches that pits eight professional esports teams against each other, including Liyab, the esports team of Globe Telecom.
For years, Mineski has been a proponent of the local esports culture. "We look forward to delivering inspiring experiences and discovering the next big names in gaming as we roll out these exciting tournaments through our partnership with Riot Games Southeast Asia and in collaboration with Globe Telecom and OPPO," said Mineski Philippines country manager Mark Navarro, stressing Mineski's ongoing mission to build opportunities for Filipino gamers to thrive.
We have been proudly witnessing the rise of Filipino teams in international gaming over the years. We want to make it possible, particularly as eSports is a place where our teams can thrive. "Together with Mineski and Riot Games Southeast Asia, we will be able to do that and provide gamers with more opportunities to hone their craft," adds Jil Bausa-Go, Globe VP for getting Entertained Tribe, who also emphasized Globe's dedication to getting world-class connectivity and entertainment into the homes of its customers.
We are grateful and excited about the friendship we have forged with Mineski. Through this partnership, Raymond Xia, OPPO Philippines Marketing Director, shares that we promise to help the growing local esports industry by providing an entire ecosystem of goods recognized as an entertainment powerhouse and the next best gaming tool for everyday Filipino gamers.
Both registration and broadcast updates will be posted on the official Facebook page of PPGL.
