#Globe5GHackathon Empowers Youth to Link the Nation |
Globe launched #Globe5GHackathon, the country's largest hackathon gathering, on April 27 in collaboration with Animo Labs of De La Salle University-Manila. Students and young professionals from all over the world are invited to attend enablement workshops, which will encourage them to think beyond the box and reinvent their power to create change today and for future generations using Globe's 5G technology, which will kick off on Virtual Hangouts.
"Globe claims that transformative technologies by the youth will unlock the nation's potential. Globe Chief Commercial Officer Issa Guevarra-Cabreira said, "By giving them a forum and the right tools to transform their ideas into action, they will create a lasting effect through the proper use of 5G technology."

Participants will be coached and mentored by industry experts on 5G technology and innovation during the seminars, which will take place between May 21 and June 4, 2021. From June 21 to 25, 2021, they will nurture and bring their ideas to life through a nationwide pitch. Winning teams will receive great rewards as well as the chance to get their projects sponsored by one of Globe's partners and 917Ventures, the company's most prominent corporate venture maker. The winners will be announced on September 3, 2021.
The 5G Hackathon is part of the telco's ongoing efforts to make the nation a #FirstWorldNetwork.
