Accenture has donated PHP 80 million in grants to various colleges and academic institutions in the Philippines as part of its commitment to promote digital innovation and inclusion, and diversity.

Accenture is working with ten universities and academic institutions around the country as part of the program, with each receiving a grant to assist them in developing, running, and implementing innovative initiatives in three areas:

  • Emerging technologies - Accenture will support work at universities and their technology business incubators (TBIs), which are committed to supporting future entrepreneurs and companies to advance innovation and solutions leveraging blockchain, 5G, cloud, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. Adamson University Technology Business Incubator for Neo-Environmental Science and Technology; Asian Institute of Management Dado Banatao Incubator; Ateneo de Manila University (Ateneo Innovation Center and Ateneo Blockchain Labs); FEU Institute of Technology; Technological Institute of the Philippines – Nurture Innovation Technology Revolution Office; University of Santo Tomas (UST – Nurture Innovation Technology Revolution Office); University of Santo Tomas (UST – Nurture Innovation Technology Revolution (UPSCALE).
  • Sustainability — At De La Salle University Animo Labs Foundation Inc., Accenture will fund initiatives to create cross-industry platforms that leverage advanced technology to assist sustainability in the Philippines and developing countries.
  • Inclusion and diversity – Through the Miriam College (MC) Technology Business Incubator program, Accenture will promote female-led technology entrepreneurs and businesses, specifically through program support that fosters STEM education among female high school students. It will also support user experience design and delivery solutions for people with impairments at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde's Hub of Innovation for Inclusion.
