The X factors of the new vivo X70 with Zeiss cameras, launching in PH on October 8

Ahead of the local launch of the new vivo X70 co-engineered with Zeiss, let’s take a look at its top features that make it one of the most anticipated smartphones to be released this year.

Triple camera with Zeiss optics

vivo continues to leverage its fruitful partnership with optics and optoelectronics firm Zeiss and has once again produced a smartphone intended to level up smartphone photography in the form of the vivo X70.

The vivo X70 comes with a triple camera with Zeiss optics -- one with a 40-megapixel sensor with laser autofocus and an optical image stabilizer (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and another 12-megapixel lens with a ZEISS Optics-ZEISS T* Coating, a feature that further optimizes light efficiency when required. Simply put, with the vivo X70, it's safe to say that you can expect more when it comes to the photos it produces, may they be taken during the day in well-lit areas or in the dark of the night. It can shoot videos in 4K at 30/60 fps and in 1080p at 30/60 fps, plus it has an HDR10+ shooting feature.

On the flip side lies a 32-megapixel selfie camera with HDR and the capability to record videos up to 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at 30 fps.

Up to 12GB of RAM

It’s still unclear what version of the vivo X70 will arrive in the Philippines, but as far as the confirmed specs from the China launch of the smartphone goes, the vivo X70 comes in varieties of 8GB RAM + 128GB memory and 12GB RAM + 256GB memory. While other smartphones are available in the market that carries 12GB of RAM, this option is still uncommon compared to the 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB options. However, with that said, for those looking to level up their smartphone usage and would want to have bigger RAM for more seamless multitasking, the vivo X70 is a good choice if the 12GB model will be out locally.

Vivo Y12s Review; Style On a Budget

4,400mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support

It won’t make sense if the vivo X70 with promising cameras has poor battery life, right? How would people enjoy longer hours of mobile photography if the battery can’t keep up? Although the vivo X70 is unlike other flagship smartphones that commonly ship with 5,000mAh of juice, its 4,400mAh battery comes with a 44W fast-charging support which we think is an appropriate bargain.

AMOLED HDR10+ screen

The vivo X70 flaunting a 6.56-inch screen in 1080 x 2376 resolution with HDR10+ is only fitting since users need a good display with the right amount of color vividness and sharpness to appreciate the photos taken by its Zeiss-powered cameras. Another plus factor about the screen of the vivo X70 is that it’s AMOLED and has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

6nm MediaTek chipset

Under the hood, the vivo X70 partners its 8GB/12GB RAM + 128GB/256GB memory with a 6nm 3.0GHz custom MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI dimensity chipset and a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. According to MediaTek, one of the best features of its Dimensity 1200 CPU is that it's designed for faster low-light snaps, which complements the Zeiss cameras of the vivo X70.

That’s it for our quick roundup of the vivo X70’s top features. Stay tuned as this device will be launched locally on October 8, where vivo will reveal its official pricing. Also, watch out for our review of the vivo X70 coming in the next few weeks.
