It’s usual for tech companies to use a catchy term as a name for a smartphone or any gadget. But only a few attach a significant meaning to it, and among them is realme. For example, the “narzo” handle in one of its smartphone series is actually an acronym. It means Next-Level Camera, A-Class Processor, Remarkable Battery, Zenith of Design, and Outstanding Display.

Admit it, it was pretty witty of the brand to think of this and how it encapsulated all the strengths of the realme narzo 50A in its five-letter moniker. Let’s take a look at each one of its best features.

Next-level camera

realme has successfully associated itself with laudable mobile photography, and it continues the excellent work with the realme nazo 50A. Albeit considered a budget phone, this device boasts a 50-megapixel triple camera with artificial intelligence (for less than Php8,000), alongside a 2-megapixel portrait lens and 2-megapixel macro snapper.

This device also carries a special night mode with filters Astral, Dazzle, and Modern Gold, which each gives a different touch of aesthetics on night shots.

The realme narzo 50A has an 8-megapixel AI selfie shooter with AI Beauty and HDR modes for its front camera.

A-Class Processor

realme touted the narzo 50A as “your entry-level gaming champion.” This has something to do with its MediaTek Helio G85 processor coupled with a Mali-G52 GPU graphics card. These, together with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, make the realme narzo 50A a capable mobile gaming gear despite its budget-friendly price tag.

The website of chip developer MediaTek said that the Mali-G52 GPU is designed for performance optimization for “smoother performance in heavy-loading game engines, demanding scenes, and intense gameplay.” This should be convincing enough for those looking for a gaming smartphone that won’t break the bank.

Remarkable Battery

An entry-level smartphone with a generous battery? Look no further. The realme narzo 50A has a massive 6,000mAh battery that can last you more than a day of usage. realme claims that the monster power of the narzo 50A can bring up to 53 days on standby, 48 hours of call time, 111 hours of Spotify, 27 hours of YouTube, 26 hours of WhatsApp chatting, and 8 hours of gaming.

The said smartphone also supports fast charging with its 18W Quick Charge feature through a 9V/2A adapter that comes free with the realme narzo 50A’s package.

Zenith of Design

Appealing to younger users, the realme narzo 50A shows off itself with a diagonal stripe design which realme described as “inspired by street culture and the energy of youth.”

The realme narzo 50A is available in Oxygen Blue and Oxygen Green colors. It has a matte rear finish and rounded corners, making it more of a premium smartphone than a budget device.

Apart from the aesthetics, the realme narzo 50A is also designed for convenient use. Its realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 is made simpler and smoother to match the fast-paced day-to-day lives of the millennials and Gen Z. It offers a wide variety of customization options so users can freely choose how they would want the interface to look.

Improved privacy and security are also among the strengths of the realme narzo 50A. It has a feature that prevents personal data leakage and allows users to lock and hide apps.

Outstanding Display

To cap off what “narzo” stands for, let’s talk about the “outstanding display” of the narzo 50A. While it still carries the outdated dewdrop notch, its 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) display is capable enough to showcase a decent screen quality.

It comes in an 88.7 percent screen-to-body ratio and a 570-nits brightness level for visibility for outdoor use.

The realme narzo 50A is available on realme’s official Lazada and Shopee stores and physical stores and through authorized resellers, for only PhP 7,990 for the 4GB + 64GB model. Stay tuned as we’ll be releasing our in-depth review for you to get to know more about this smartphone soon!
