realme 10 Pro 5G Hands-on and Initial Impression
INTRODUCTION:
realme, the country's number one smartphone brand for the last two years, is set to launch its latest devices this valentine's day. We are lucky enough to get the first dibs with the realme 10 Pro 5G, and we are here to share our unboxing and initial impressions.

RETAIL PACKAGE:
Retail Package |
The realme 10 Pro 5G retail package consists of the unit itself with pre-installed screen protection film, protective jelly case, USB Type-C cable, 33W SUPERVOOC charger, SIM ejector tool, and paper documents. Just like before, no earphones of any kind in the package, but that's already expected as most, if not all mobile brands do not include one in their midrange devices.
PHYSICAL:
The realme 10 Pro 5G comes in three colors Nebula Blue, Dark Matter, and Hyperspace, all three are the same in terms of outer dimensions at 163.7mm x 74.2mm, but the latter is slightly thicker and heavier at 8.3mm and 192 grams as compared to the other colorways' 8.1mm and 190 grams. The difference is very minimal and we are pretty sure, not noticeable at all.
Nebula Blue |
The one we have for review is the Nebula Blue, the back design looks good and premium, but I must admit that we have seen this gradient-like panel so many times. Nonetheless, the different patterns it creates at different angles are still refreshing to the eyes. Moreover, it is resistant to fingerprints and smudges, which means less to worry about.
Volume Keys and Fingerprint Sensor that Doubles as Power Button |
The left side is where the card tray is located that can hold 2 Nano SIM cards or 1 SIM plus 1 MicroSD card. On the right, we have the volume keys above the fingerprint scanner that doubles as the power button.
Loudspeaker, USB-C, Microphone, 3.5mm Jack |
The top has the secondary microphone, while the primary one is found at the bottom together with the loudspeaker grille, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
The front is almost entirely occupied by the phone's display. There is a punch hole at the top-middle of the screen where the selfie camera is placed. Above it is the other stereo speaker embedded in the top bezel.
realme 10 Review; 10 for Impressive
Speaking of which, according to realme, the left and right bezels are just 1mm thin allowing for a higher screen-to-body ratio, which is 93.76%.
DISPLAY:
The realme 10 Pro 5G has a 120Hz Boundless Display that is almost bezel-less thanks to its 6.72" FHD+ LCD and 93.76% screen-to-body ratio. Along with these features, it has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, support for 6 levels of refresh rates, and a brightness level of 680 Nits that gives it a great viewing experience even in direct sunlight.
Display |
As per realme, the 10 Pro 5G's display is quite durable, thanks to the Double-Reinforced Glass. And as added protection, there is also a pre-installed plastic film, making it safer from dings and scratches. Moreover, it has been given the TÃœV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, which means that users can expect less blue light to be emitted without losing image quality.
CAMERA:
The realme 10 Pro 5G is equipped with 108MP Samsung HM6 dual ProLight Camera. As early as now, we can say that details are great whether the shots are at day or night, or whether it was taken indoors or outdoors, albeit in a little saturated way.

INITIAL IMPRESSION:
In addition to its appealing appearance, the realme 10 Pro 5G can easily compete with other smartphones in its class due to its extensive feature set. So far, we have been impressed with its new offerings.
