CIMB Empowers Millennials Overcome Financial Difficulties to Achieve their Aspirations


To assist Filipino millennials in overcoming financial constraints, which were identified as the most significant barrier to pursuing their life purpose in the Bank's research, CIMB Bank Philippines, a leading provider of digital banking services, has pledged to arm them with better financial products and financial literacy programs.

According to the aforementioned study, which was conducted in collaboration with Southeast Asia consumer research firm Milieu Insight and the Ateneo Business Resource Center of the Ateneo de Manila University John Gokongwei School of Management, one in every two millennial Filipinos polled is not pursuing or believes they are not making progress toward their life purpose. According to the report, 65% of Filipino millennials polled claimed that money was their major impediment to realizing their life's mission.

Bunny Aguilar, Chief Marketing Officer of CIMB Bank Philippines, claimed that the business will soon launch an active campaign to encourage financial literacy and deliver valued financial goods as a form of advocacy for Filipino millennials.

After realizing that half of the Filipino millennials are not actively pursuing what they believe they intended to achieve, their life purpose, due to financial restrictions, we took it upon ourselves to let them know that CIMB is here to inspire them to live it. We will offer more simply accessible financial products and financial literacy education to help them and our customers achieve their life goals, Aguilar added.

According to Aguilar, the study and cooperation with Ateneo and Milieu Insight are the first steps in revitalizing the CIMB Bank PH brand with purpose at the forefront.
