The company is constantly investing in innovation as part of its commitment to pep+ (PepsiCo Positive), @PepsiCo's end-to-end transformation plan to reduce its environmental effect. The Greenhouse Accelerator Program is a continuation of this commitment to advancing and expanding entrepreneurs in the sustainability sector.

"The launch of PepsiCo's Greenhouse Accelerator Program in APAC demonstrates our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation. Wern Yuen Tan, CEO of PepsiCo's APAC region, stated, "@PepsiCo is acutely aware of its critical role in fostering change and constructing a more sustainable future for everybody. Thanks to the Greenhouse program, which has been a fantastic source of ideation, talent development, and agility, we have been able to collaborate with like-minded, mission-driven entrepreneurs as they develop breakthrough concepts to reduce our environmental impact and promote a more resilient future.

PepsiCo is looking for 10 Asia-Pacific start-ups whose solutions integrate purpose into their missions, resulting in a tangible benefit for the business, consumers, communities, and our planet. The open call will be available from March 20 until May 1, 2023. The selected start-ups will get a US$20,000 grant and will participate in a four-month program to optimize their operations and accelerate growth. The program includes individualized mentoring with specialists from several PepsiCo areas, including leading and growing brands, to address critical early-stage firm operations such as strategy planning, corporate structuring, and fundraising. Also, companies will have access to brand optimization, product development, supply chain management, client acquisition, and distribution during the program.

At the end of the program, one firm will get an additional $100,000 in investment, as well as the opportunity to engage with PepsiCo on future projects.

The PepsiCo Greenhouse initiative first appeared in Europe in 2017. It was then expanded to North America in the fall of 2018, followed by AMESA in 2022. In its eighth year, the Greenhouse Accelerator program has assisted 58 emerging start-up brands in generating an additional $8MM in sales.
