Customers can effortlessly connect to broadband, phone, and text services by scanning the Smart Prepaid eSIM's unique QR code. The eSIM will initially be provided as a printed card, but subscribers will soon have the option of receiving their eSIM in digital form, such as via email or voucher.
The new eSIM is especially useful for mobile users who want to benefit from Smart's better speeds and comprehensive coverage without taking up a SIM slot in their handset. It allows users of Apple devices to move between two or more accounts or SIM profiles in a single device, which is wonderful news.
Inbound international visitors and returning OFWs can now rapidly activate local mobile services without the time-consuming procedure of exchanging or updating their primary physical SIM with a local SIM. Unlike roaming services, the Smart Prepaid eSIM allows travelers to make calls and send text messages at local rates far lower than roaming prices.

The Smart Prepaid eSIM costs Php99 and is available at major airports, Smart Stores across the country, approved retailers, the Smart Online Store, and Smart flagship stores on Lazada and Shopee.
Smart first offered the eSIM to postpaid subscribers in 2021, and by introducing the Smart Prepaid eSIM, the company is now expanding the benefits of this breakthrough technology to more Filipinos.
The Smart Prepaid eSIM is compatible with eSIM-capable devices such as Apple's, Google's, Huawei's, and Samsung's latest flagship handsets, tablets, and smartwatches. It also includes up to 21 GB of free data, which members may get by activating and registering their eSIM and installing the Smart GigaLife App to manage their prepaid account.
Apple and Android users can activate the Smart Prepaid eSIM by scanning the unique QR Code with their phone's camera. The eSIM can then be viewed in the 'Cellular Plans' section for Apple users and the 'SIM Card Manager' section for Android users.
