With a 120Hz refresh rate, the HONOR Pad X9's screen is smooth enough to highlight seamless scrolling. This level of refresh rate is also decent enough for gaming.
PERFORMANCE:
Running on a midrange Snapdragon 685 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, the HONOR Pad X9 handles apps and games just alright, provided that you don't have too many apps on background refresh and you play your games in mid settings.

Given its price point, it's expected that the HONOR Pad X9 has some limitations when it comes to its overall performance. At times, it tends to lag when switching from one heavy app to another. But this was an almost isolated case during the weeks that we utilized the HONOR Pad X9.
The HONOR Pad X9 operates on Android 13 with MagicOS 7.1 on top. One of the many good things that the Magic OS 7.1 brings to the HONOR Pad X9 is the dynamic RAM feature, which converts 3GB of the tablet's memory into added memory, giving the HONOR Pad X9 more room to breathe to load applications.
If you're using an HONOR ecosystem and you're looking to add the HONOR Pad X9 into your setup, the three-finger swipe-up function from the Magic OS 7.1 allows you to activate a continuity feature where you can move your tasks on the tablet to an HONOR laptop conveniently.
Multi-window is also present on the HONOR Pad X9, and honestly, this is one of the Magic OS 7.1 functions that we appreciate the most. This allows multiple apps to be open and running at the same time.
As with other Android operating systems, the Magic OS 7.1 also comes with bloatware, which can be uninstalled.
