'Shaping the Philippines' Energy Sector for a Sustainable Future' is the theme of PhilEnergy Expo 2024, which aims to speed up the clean energy shift for a sustainable, net-zero future. The event's goal is to encourage the creation of new, renewable energy solutions that will change the local energy business even more.

As time goes on, PhilEnergy is expanding to include more linked fields, said Rungphech "Rose" Chitanuwat, Country General Manager of Informa Markets in the Philippines, which puts on the PhilEnergy Expo. "That's why it was rebranded in 2023, and this year it is presenting as a standalone event in its fourth edition."

PhilEnergy, which used to be called RE EE Philippines, is expanding its energy services to include green energy (RE), energy saving (EE), electric and power (E&P), electric vehicles (EVs), and energy storage (ES). This growth fits in with the energy industry's rapid growth and the government's increased efforts to implement safe, long-lasting, and reliable energy plans.

A lot of focus has been paid to the shift toward policies that use renewable energy. A partner of PhilEnergy called the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance, Inc. (PE2) says that by 2040, ₱12 trillion will have been spent on energy-saving projects in the Philippines. At the same time, the national government wants to raise the amount of green energy used to make electricity in the country to 35% by 2030 and 50% by 2040.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) said that the average amount of renewable energy potential worldwide rose by 50% between 2022 and 2023. Over the next five years, this trend is likely to get even stronger.

"PhilEnergy 2024 is happening at a good time because, like many other countries, the Philippine government is working hard to promote clean energy generation. As Chitanuwat pointed out, renewable energy is now an important part of economic growth. This is because it helps fight climate change and is also sustainable and efficient, which are essential for meeting the growing energy needs of a rising world.

PhilEnergy Expo 2024 will not only show off new technologies and products but will also have talks about problems happening in the energy industry and related fields.

The "Energy Efficiency Day 2024" conference is being held by PE2 on March 20. It will bring together the top business leaders and representatives from the UK, Sweden, and Denmark to talk about how they plan to double energy efficiency by 2030.

PhilEnergy Expo will hold a seminar on energy audits for business buildings on March 21. The seminar will also include talks on electric cars, smart grid technologies, and future energy systems. On March 22, there will be a PCAB Licensing Workshop and talks about how to promote clean energy, project management techniques, and best practices for clean energy.
