The show this year, which opens on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Hyundai Hall in the National Museum of Natural History, looks like it will be even bigger and better. Its goal is to show more people the beauty of nature, with the help of important groups.
It was put together by the Manila Bulletin (MB), HUAWEI, the Department of Tourism (DOT), the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and the National Museum of the Philippines. It has beautiful pictures of nature that were taken by well-known partner shooters. This year's theme continues to highlight the beauty of Philippine nature, with a focus on how different living things move together in harmony with their surroundings.
At the official start of the event, the main event posters were unveiled by well-known people from the planning groups. The goal of the show, according to Secretary Herminio "Sonny" Coloma Jr., Publisher of the Manila Bulletin, is to reach as many Filipinos as possible. He stressed how important it was to let a lot of people see these powerful pictures.
Along with Silver Belen, Noel Pabalate, and Jan Mayo, partner shooters took part in the event. In their talks, they talked about their experiences with the HUAWEI Pura 70 series smartphones and showed how the advanced features of the phone helped them take stunning pictures of nature.
The show, which features photos printed on cloth canvas using eco-solvent ink, gives a new perspective on some of the Philippines' lesser-known tourist spots, like Quezon City, Bohol, Leyte, Ifugao, Batanes, and South Cotabato. The beautiful landscapes, close-ups of plants and animals, and moving depictions of natural ecosystems give tourists a one-of-a-kind way to learn about how important it is to protect the environment.
Up until September 1, 2024, anyone can visit the Earth + Lens picture show in the Hyundai Hall of the National Museum of Natural History.
