A big part of the meeting was the first-ever KPMG Philippines Academic Innovation Challenge 2024, which showed off the skills of future ICT leaders. The challenge gave student tech workers from 15 schools a chance to show off their data and analytics skills. Over 57 students showed their imagination and ability to visualize data by taking part. The winning teams were Trial and Aaron from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. In second and third place, respectively, were QWERTY from Far Eastern University Manila and APC JAM from Asia-Pacific College.
The meeting also talked about the moral issues that arise from artificial intelligence (AI), emphasizing the need for openness and accountability in AI operations. Even though everyone agreed that AI has the power to change things, they were told that ethical concerns must come first in how it is used and governed.
The event focused on how important it is to trust and believe in technology, especially when it comes to data security and hacking. Businesses can feel safe and ready to take advantage of the chances of the digital age when they work with KPMG Philippines.
