DITO Telecommunity Bolsters Wi-Fi Connectivity at Clark International Airport
Together with Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corporation, DITO Telecommunity is investing PHP 50 million over the next two years to improve Wi-Fi services at Clark International Airport. This will change the way people interact with technology there. This collaborative project fits with the airport's goal to become a world-class aviation hub by providing a reliable, high-speed internet link powered by DITO's 5G system to both passengers and employees.

With the launch of DITO's free Wi-Fi at Clark International Airport, travelers can now enjoy faster, safer, and more reliable internet, which helps them stay linked, stream content, and get work done before their flights. This improvement in connectivity fits with the airport's goal to give both domestic and foreign travelers a travel experience that is competitive on a global scale.
"At DITO, we are driven by the vision of a prosperous future for Filipinos, backed by our 5G technology," said Eric Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity. We help millions of Filipinos right now and are involved in neighborhood development projects, government programs, and national cultural events. Our goal also includes making sure that the nation's tourist hubs have easy access to the internet. Working together with Clark International Airport shows how committed we both are to innovation and success and what we can accomplish when we work together.
To make things even easier for passengers, DITO has placed charging stations, workstations, and SIM vending machines in key areas of the airport. The workstations have charging ports so that people can use their electronics while they relax or work from home. The charging stations in the shape of booths are quick and easy for travelers who need to charge their batteries before their trip. SIM card vending machines make it easy for visitors to buy DITO SIM cards so they can stay connected when they get there.

As the tourism and travel industry slowly recovers from the pandemic, DITO is dedicated to improving services for Filipinos and making the country a better place for tourists to visit. Clark International Airport had 629,000 international visitors and 140,000 domestic passengers in 2022, showing that it is an important transportation hub for the area. In the first half of this year, 948,608 people have used the service. By the end of the year, that number is expected to reach 2 million.
DITO is very important for bringing tourists to the Philippines, helping the country make progress, and growing the tourism business because it makes internet access available to everyone. DITO is also committed to helping the country's economy recover after COVID-19, which is shown by this relationship.
"As we look to the future, DITO is still dedicated to closing the digital divide and making important contributions to the progress of our country." Our main goal will always be to give Filipinos more power and make sure that we all work together to improve our country. Thanks for being here with us today as we start this new and exciting chapter. Altogether, let's use the connection to its fullest potential and build a better future for everyone, Alberto said.
